Thank you to Councilman Reed for his continued support of Mitchell Elementary as he gave funds to help purchase necessary software for the library to continue to run in a web based version. We appreciate all you do for our school!!

Mitchell Honors Chorus performs as Principal Waits leads students to board the "Polar Express" and participate in a Storybook Christmas where students traveled from room to room listening to Christmas stories.

Our Principal Skypes NZ

Mitchell Enrichment students skyped with New Zealand in November to discuss how Christmas traditions are celebrated in our different countries. Our principal, Mr. Waits was able to talk with Mr. Herring- teacher at Riverdale School in North Palmerston, New Zealand.

Mitchell Enrichment students participated in a Skype in November with students from Riverdale School in North Palmerston, New Zealand. Mitchell students and Riverdale students were able to meet their e-pals face to face after corresponding via e-mail since September.

Tennis Ball Conversations

Our Enrichment students prepared for their second videoconference with their e-pals in New Zealand by participating in "Tennis Ball Conversations" just like our e-pals did. Students practiced asking open-ended questions and responding to questions with details.
